Lankhorst Taselaar is a business unit of Mercury Marine (Brunswick). We are the European wholesale company for marine parts and accessories. Based in Heerenveen (HQ) and with a sales office in Rheine (DE) we have a strong foothold in the Dutch, Belgian and German marine markets. And are growing fast in other regions of Europe.
Currently, we supply more than 15,000 different products to marine related companies such as chandleries (retail shops), shipyards, sailmakers etc. in Europe. With a mix of own brands Talamex (general marine accessories), Besto (lifesaving equipment) and a strong portfolio of A-brands we aim at offering the best service in the industry and to make boating more easy, enjoyable and accessible to more people in Europe.

The Export Sales Manager is responsible for the sales results in the Export markets together with ensuring a qualitative customer service is provided to all the clients.
Accountabilities:

Contributes to the Export Sales strategy.

Determines and meets annual sales and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products and markets; analyzing trends and results; initiating corrective actions.

Directs the annual planning, expense and budgeting processes for the sales of the export markets. Monitors progress monthly and revises accordingly to support corporate sales and financial requirements and guidelines.

Develops appropriate control, performance measures and generates reports to assist in the accomplishment of the sales objectives. Provides comprehensive periodic reports to the general management.

Leads and manages the export account managers and/or agents by implementing departmental objectives, working methods, processes and procedures that meet the strategic, competitive, internal and external needs of the Company.

Ensures that sales and margin targets are met by managing and guiding the Export sales team. Optimizes market share in existing markets and searches for and opens new markets for further growth.

Supports Sales Representatives and customer service employees with customer contacts and is directly in contact with (key) accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities. Detects and intervenes in case of inadequacies and handling of complaints.

Gathers and maintains competitive product pricing information from the Export markets and develops and maintains regional market pricing models for complete portfolio of products. Establishes pricing strategies, recommended sales prices, discount structures.

Approves proposed deviations from the set prices and discounts based on requests and recommendations of the export sales team. Holds the accountability for entering price agreements per customers.

Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends to identify existing and potential business development opportunities to both the members in the sales and marketing team as well as to the management team.

Builds a high performing team culture that recognizes and rewards excellence and encourages individuals to strive for performance improvement.

Has contact with BME/BBG organizations for sharing cross-customer information and connect on strategic and mutual opportunities
Skills & Knowledge:
-
Bachelor or master’s degree with business or marketing orientation, or relevant experience in a similar role

Good working knowledge of MS Office and excellent on MS Excel
-
5 years of experience in sales management
-
Experience with B2B sales of technical consumer goods
-
Experience in the marine equipment industry is a plus
-
Excellent knowledge in Dutch and in English (both written & verbal). Any other European language represent a good asset.

Our offer:
This exciting and Innovative position is a Global Grade 12 and offers a salary of between €60,000 to €75,000 (payable in 12.96 instalments). Please be aware that this range represents the pay range for all positions within the job grade in which the post falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors, including skills, experience, and location (country). We also offer the following benefits:
